SousPrompt helps you sharpen a prompt before you send it to an AI. This page explains, in plain language, what happens to your data when you use it. It is a summary of how the tool actually works — not legal advice.
Your prompt
When you click Check, the text you typed is sent to Anthropic, which runs the model that produces the analysis and the sharpened prompt. Anthropic processes it under its own privacy policy. SousPrompt has no database — your prompt and the generated results are not saved. Once a request finishes, nothing about its content remains on our side.
What we log
For reliability and abuse prevention, the server records basic metadata about each request: a timestamp, which step ran, the length of your prompt as a number, and whether it succeeded. We do not log the text of your prompt or the generated output. These logs are captured by our host and are not tied to your identity.
Rate limiting and your IP address
To keep the tool available and prevent abuse, the server keeps a short-lived count of requests per IP address. Your IP address is held only in memory, only for that purpose, and is never written to a database or to our request logs. The counts reset automatically on a rolling hourly and daily basis, and whenever the site is redeployed.
Cookies and tracking
SousPrompt sets no cookies, stores nothing in your browser, and runs no analytics or third-party trackers.
Service providers
- Anthropic — processes your prompt to generate the analysis (privacy policy).
- Vercel — hosts the site and serves every request; like any web host, it processes connection data such as your IP address (privacy policy).
Changes
If this policy changes, the effective date above will be updated.
